Free Of Conformity

On the edges of the manufactured and marketed goods society, inhabit a breed who, do not conform and are ostraciszed for not marching to the tune saying you have to be deferential to another simply by accident of birth. They are the fringe dwellers.

Intelligent, Talented, Forward thinking, Innovative, Dynamic, Limited by Means yet bursting with Tenacity, Creative beyond Imagination and by Nature Compassionate to the common humanity of one and all. Who does this writer speak of, the question rattles.

Hippies.

At one time Vilified and Disparaged by polite and established society as the pot smoking great unwashed with eoseteric delusions and crazy musings about the planet being a living organism we are slowly choking with our Toxic emissions into the atmosphere. The 1960’s wave that was the Flower Power revolution …..

Among those deemed to be undesirable in their ethics and dismissed as immature and unrealistic are all the climate scientists charged with reversing a catastrophe of our making, and those who have reshaped modern society. Bill Gates – Microsoft & Steve Jobs – Apple, both creators and shapers of the modern society we now take for granted.

Today those same hippies are parents and the heads of leading multinational corporations and money making entities that have capitalised on the ethical and sustainable industry growing as education is increased and consciences are questioned.
